Meet the Team
Brief
Nudge is a concept submission for a week-long challenge sponsored by the Savannah College of Art and Design SCAD+ program. The brief was to create an app that could help the work life balance that everyday people struggle with. The concept of Nudge started off as a simple idea to help people organize their daily distractions. Nudge has been further been developed to passively harnesses non-productivity to build a new approach toward
work life balance. Nudge challenges the idea that procrastination is a bad thing, and tries to utilize the unplanned interruption of our daily lives for positive personal benefit.
I helped ideate and develop the app Nudge as well as create the working prototype.
Problem Statement

Quite often, moments of procrastination are seen as
non-productive and as a strategy we employ to avoid failure.
Work-life balance does not encourage
these moments of non-productivity.

Opportunity

How might we harness the potential of procrastination to offer a unique approach to work life balance?

Development

Nudge is a social media application meets a pocket agenda. Except that rather than notify of the things you have to do, it notifies you when you have a moment to spare. To take a breath. To look around and reclaim your life. Nudge is harnessing the power of procrastination in a whole new way.
